I've got a secret... (no, I'm not pregnant!)

Disney posts will resume soon, but I must share our newest adventure first. Mainly, because I’m so excited I can’t control myself. Plus, I can’t talk about it at home so I’ve got to share it somewhere!

The other day Michael and I were talking about how we would like to get back to Disney World soon. Damian had the time of his life and asks every single day when we are going back. I explained that we have about 340 days and he couldn’t even process it. I’m not going to lie, Disney World is expensive and we aren’t made of money. We do have to live and can’t spend money like water. I was bummed that it wasn’t going to work out, but figured something like a washer and dryer (mine are going to die any day) and saving for a new car are more responsible choices.

The other night I was taking a bath when Damian came in crying. He was sobbing telling me how much he missed Disney World and how much he desperately wanted to go back. Yes, I am a sucker for either of my kids. I can’t help it. If they want something I will do everything in my power to make it happen. October is a really, really, really long time away and quite frankly, I want to go back too!

So… Damian doesn’t know, but in a few weeks he is going to get the surprise of his life! We are flying out on Saturday afternoon, eating dinner at Chef Mickey’s, spending the entire next day in the Magic Kingdom, going to Mickey’s Christmas Party that night and flying home the next day. My mom, Michael’s mom, maybe Madelyn, Damian and I will be going on the adventure. He has absolutely no idea. I can’t wait to see his face when he wakes up and hears where he is going. Keeping a secret is really hard for me so I’m dying to tell him, but I know it will be worth the wait when he finally finds out.

I have what I think is a genius way to tell him! About 1:30 on the day we leave a package is going to appear outside. It will be for Damian from Buzz Lightyear. Buzz is going to tell him Zurg is on his way to attack and the only way to save Mickey’s Christmas Party is to have his best Space Ranger there… Damian! If D is able to save the planet then Buzz is going to send him to the party as a way to say thank you. He is going to tell him he has an airplane waiting on him and that he is having dinner with his good friend, Mickey at Chef Mickey's. The car is going to be packed and we are going to hop in and go straight to the airport.  I know this will be a moment I will never forget.  He is such a perfect age, he is old enough for the fun, but still 100% believes in the magic of Disney. I’m so excited, but I’m not about to tell him. I know the look on his face will be well worth the wait.

The best part of this trip... it is only costing me the park tickets! Credit card points are paying for hotel and airline tickets. This takes a huge burden off of my shoulders!

I’m sooooo excited! I think things like this are so much fun. My babies are only young once. I want them to look back at their childhood and think of all of the fun they had. This will definitely be something he’ll remember the rest of his life. As long as he likes Disney I will take him as much as I can.  Mickey and Minnie… we’ll see ya real soon!
