Day 7 was a little bittersweet. I really couldn’t believe our trip was almost over. I had planned for a solid ten months and it was almost over. I wanted to take advantage of our last day and spend it at our favorite park, Magic Kingdom.
My dad chose to stay at the condo that day so the five of us were on our way to the happiest place on Earth. The crowd level was low once again so we rode everything we wanted. Madelyn does really well and goes into meltdown mode within.25 seconds so it was important to get her back to the condo before that occurred. She rode until about 12:30 and then Michael too her home. She was furious! I still have visions of Madelyn being carried out of the back of the park near It’s A Small World screaming as her daddy carried her away. We were right and she was exhausted!
My mom, D and I stayed and rode some more. We rode the same ride we had been on 10,000 times previously… Buzz! We rode and rode and rode and then went back to get dressed for dinner.
Damian had been looking forward to Chef Mickey’s for months. We got there a little early and had to wait. Once we got to our table Damian and Madelyn were soooooo excited! Minnie came to see us first. Madelyn squealed she was so excited! I thought Damian was going to wet his pants he was so happy. They were the happiest kids in the restaurant. Pluto, Donald Duck and Goofy came to see them and they were equally as happy. As we were finishing the king of everything Disney came to see them… Mickey Mouse. Damian gave him a million hugs and Madelyn wanted to squeak his nose. It was the perfect dinner!
After our meal Damian, my mom and I headed to Magic Kingdom to ride a few more rides. Damian really wanted to ride Winnie the Pooh, It’s A Small World and Buzz one more time. We rode those and a few more before we went to end the trip at the appropriate place, Buzz! We rode a few times and said our goodbyes. It was the perfect way to end a perfect trip.
The memories made at Disney are some I will never forget the rest of my life. It far exceeded all of my expectations. Seeing the magic in their eyes is the reason we will return. We are already booked for another week of fun next October. This time we are staying on property all week. Damian is so excited and Madelyn will be almost three so she should be even more fun than this year. When you walk in Magic Kingdom and see the “Let the Memories Begin” sign it really is the truth! My family made many memories that we will never forget. We’ll see you in three weeks Mickey!
